Former Australia captain Michael Clarke has revealed he has undergone surgery to remove skin cancer from his face, using the moment to urge others to stay vigilant about their health. The 44-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday (27 August) to share a photograph of himself after the procedure, accompanied by a candid message about the importance of prevention and early detection.

"Skin cancer is real! Especially in Australia. Another one cut out of my nose today. A friendly reminder to get your skin checked. Prevention is better than cure but in my case, regular check-ups and early detection is key. So grateful that @drbishsoliman_ got it early," Clarke wrote.
