Sunidhi Chauhan: Ostracized at 18, Divorce & Financial Hardship Forged Strength in Bollywood Star

Sunidhi Chauhan, one of India’s most powerful voices in music, faced a storm in her personal life even before her career truly took off. At just 18, she made a bold choice to marry choreographer Bobby Khan, defying her parents’ wishes. They grew fond of each other, but both families did not approve of the relationship. Media reports suggest that Bobby Khan listened to his family and ended the relationship. Within a year, Sunidhi and Bobby parted ways, and Sunidhi returned home to reconcile with her parents.After her divorce in 2003, Sunidhi was left without money or a house as she was still struggling in her career. It was composer Anu Malik who stood by her during this tough time and helped her find her footing again.Sunidhi gave love another try in 2012 when she married composer Hitesh Sonik after dating for over two years. I was going to get out of it. So, now that I am out of it, I have been out of it since many years, I don’t look back at that. But if at all, somebody speaks about it, then I am only looking at it as something that only helped me in turning into a better person."
